Alexey Chernov, a native of Russia, studied at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (Moscow) and the Royal College of Music (London).  He won Fifth Prize at the 2011 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow.  In 2010 he was First Prize winner at three international piano competitions -- the Valsesia Musica (Italy), Calabria (Italy), and Campillos (Spain) -- and Second Prize winner at the Sussex International Piano Competition (UK).  In 2009 and 2010 he performed recitals in London, Paris, Moscow, Madrid, and throughout Spain.  In 2006 he performed concerti with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra.
