2014 CONCERT SERIES PRESENTS WORLD CLASS MUSICIANS

The Cleveland International Piano Competition will present an extraordinary series of concerts in 2014 that will include a Gramophone Artist of the Year, an Israeli-Palestinian piano duo, an internationally acclaimed Baroque orchestra, and four CIPC medalists.

Presented collectively as the CIPC Concert Series, each of the four world-class performances will be held in a vibrant University Circle venue.

Tickets to all concerts are $25 and $35 and may be purchased on this website or by calling 216-707-5397.  $5 student tickets also will be available.

2013 MEDALISTS AND APOLLO’S FIRE

The four medalists from the 2013 Competition and Cleveland’s hugely popular Apollo’s Fire Baroque orchestra will collaborate for an extraordinary night of music.  Stanislav Khristenko, Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev, François Dumont, and Jiayan Sun will play works for duo piano, piano four hand, and piano eight-hand (one piano, four pianists!) to present a completely new perspective of their enormous talents and repertoire.   Jeannette Sorrell will conduct.

A colossal talent in the pantheon of international pianists, Angela Hewitt will enthrall Cleveland audiences.  Ms. Hewitt, one of the Competition’s most successful medalists, has been hailed as “the pre-eminent Bach pianist of our time” (The Guardian) and was named Gramophone Artist of the Year.  A must-see concert!
