Endowment
The Endowment Fund of the Cleveland International Piano Competition was established in 1996 by substantial gifts from Mr. and Mrs. George W. Sievila and Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Manuel. Their goal in creating the fund was to ensure the Competition’s financial survival for the benefit of future generations of pianists and for the enjoyment and inspiration of audiences.
The Endowment Fund encourages gifts from everyone who shares our long-range vision. Contributions made to honor the memory of a loved one are most welcomed and frequently made by generous patrons. Gifts made in memoriam may be designated as such using language approved by the donor.
Gifts of securities or other investment vehicles are also welcome additions to the endowment. Various types of planned gifts such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, gifts of retirement plan benefits, and life insurance also are available. Please click here to learn more about planned giving.
Since the Endowment Fund was created, the following friends of the Competition have made contributions through cash gifts and planned giving.
