    Jiayan Sun, 23, praised for his “technically flawless, poetically inspired and immensely assured playing” (Toronto Star), was the 3rd Prize winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2012. Mr. Sun has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, the National Concert Hall in Dublin and Royal Conservatory’s Koerner Hall in Toronto and frequently performs with the China National Symphony Orchestra. Recently named a Syliff Fellow by the Tokyo Foundation, Mr. Sun has participated in a number of festivals including Aspen Music Festival, PianoTexas, ChamberFest at Juilliard and Pianofest on Long Island. He attended pre-college at The Juilliard School, where he is currently earning his Master’s Degree. His interest in early music has led to proficiency on the harpsichord and pianoforte, on which he frequently performs.
