CIPC’s Pierre and Sophié van der Westhuizen will hold the spotlight for an exciting piano duo performance as part of the Cleveland International Film Festival FILM FEAST fundraising series.  The concert will be held at the Warrensville Heights branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm.  The event is being hosted by Allyn and John Davies, who serve on the board of directors for both CIPC and the Film Festival.

Pierre and Sophié will perform two fantastic works.  First up is the “Porgy and Bess Fantasy for Two Pianos” by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, arranged by Percy Aldridge Grainger.  Next is a two-piano arrangement of “Le Grand Tango” by nuevo tango virtuoso Astor Piazzolla.  Both works are a wonderful treat for audiences and a terrific way to warm up on a cold February evening!

Film Feasts focus on the unique and always evolving arts life in Cleveland.  At the same time they support the growth of the Cleveland International Film Festival, which is now one of the most celebrated film festivals in the world and a not-to-miss event right here in Cleveland.
