Leonardo Colafelice


Twenty-year-old Leonardo Colafelice is a graduate of the Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory of Music (Italy) where he was a student of Pasquale Iannone. He is the recipient of numerous prizes, including sixth prize at the 2015 Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition (Italy), first prize at the 2013 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, first prize at the 2013 Yamaha USASU International Piano Competition for Young Artists (Tempe, AZ), first prize at the Thomas & Evon Cooper International Piano Competition (Oberlin, OH), and first prize at the 2012 Gina Bachauer Young Artists International Piano Competition (Salt Lake City, UT). Recent engagements include recitals in Rome, Paris, Bern, Istanbul, Budapest, Tbilisi, and Tel Aviv, and appearances as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic, Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali (Milan), the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra (Denmark), The Cleveland Orchestra, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (NY). Mr. Colafelice is continuing his studies with Professor Iannone.
