Winner of the first prize at the 2012 International V Scriabin Piano Competition, 20-year old Moscow-born pianist Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev hails from a musical family including well-known pianist Tatiana Nikolaeva. He studied at the Central Music School for eleven years before beginning studies in the Moscow Conservatory. Competition victories include 1st Prize at “Le Muse” Piano Competition in Italy in 2003, Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Kaliningrad in 2005, and 1st Prize at Rovere d’Oro and the “New Names” Competition in Moscow, both in 2008. He has also recently given recitals in the prestigious halls of the Moscow Conservatory.
