Maddalena Giacopuzzi, 25, began studying piano at the age of five. She recently completed the Master Course at the Conservatorio “Claudio Monteverdi” in Bolzano, where she studied with Cristiano Burato and graduated with full marks, laude, and a mention of honor. Ms. Giacopuzzi has won numerous prizes, including first prizes at the 2015 Arcangelo Speranza International Piano Competition (Taranto, Italy) and the 2015 Massarosa (Italy) International Piano Competition. She has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Arena in Verona, Orchestra Monteverdi of Bozen, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, working with esteemed conductors including Berislav Šipuš, Emir Saul, Stephen Lloyd, and Giancarlo de Lorenzo. Ms. Giacopuzzi is currently attending the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, studying with Benedetto Lupo, as well as the International Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola where she studies with Leonid Margarius.
