Ray studies piano with Ory Shihor and violin with Robert Lipsett at the Colburn Music Academy, where he is a Camille and Arnon Adar Scholar.  He has performed in Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall in New York and on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Since his orchestral debut at age ten with the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, he has appeared with Lang Lang at Orange County’s Segerstrom Concert Hall; pianist and conductor Jeffrey Kahane and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra at Royce Hall; and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet on Radio France. A recipient of the Davidson Fellow Laureate Award in 2014, Ray won the 2016 Piano Concerto Competition at the Aspen Music Festival and School and the 2017 Hilton Head International Piano Competition for Young Artists. Ray has performed with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra, and the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Ray was featured on Performance Today with host Fred Child.
