Twenty-seven-year-old Samson Tsoy is a graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and the Royal College of London. His teachers and mentors have included Yuri Airapetian, Dmitry Bashkirov, Imogen Cooper, Sergei Dorensky, Norma Fisher, Vanessa Latarche, and Maria João Pires. He won first prize at the 2013 Societa Umanitaria International Music Competition (Milan), first prize at the Campillos International Piano Competition (Malaga, Spain), and was a finalist for the Vendome Prize at the 2014 Verbier Festival (Switzerland) as well as a laureate of the 2012 Paloma O’Shea Santander International Piano Competition (Spain). Significant recital and festival appearances include Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert, and Royal Festival Halls in London, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Auditorium di Milano and Sala Verdi in Milan, and the Verbier, Santander, and Rostropovich Festivals.
