Twenty-four-year old Yuta Yano has been playing piano since the age of six. He is a graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts, where he was a student of Yu Kakuno. He was awarded first prize at the 2016 Kreisleriana International Piano Competition (Monza, Italy), the 2015 Antonio Napolitano International Piano Competition (Salerno, Italy), the Bach prize at the 2014 Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition (Monza, Italy), and the encore prize at the 2012 Shura Cherkassky International Piano Competition (Milan). Mr. Yano has performed in recital and with orchestras in his native Japan, in Asia, and in Europe.
